Scenario Builder

Every input here is a user-entered or user-confirmed assumption, not APS data. Results are POC estimates.

POC Scenario Estimate — Not an official APS schedule
Scenario preset
Baseline reference is 300 units/day — a confirmed operational assumption supplied by the user, not a value from the APS CSVs.
Scope & capacity
User-entered Assumption
Scope uses the confirmed hierarchy concept only: Main Line, Sub-Assembly within Main Line, and Feed Lines feeding Main Line.

133 resources are registered from the APS extract. All 133 resources are listed from ResourceGroup(1).csv; load, capacity, queue and utilisation are not available from static aps input.

Estimate: 300 units/day, duration factor 1, operation time 98.4 s, schedule window 76.36 h (+0.00 h).

+10% represents an upgrade, parallel equipment or a process improvement; −10% represents degradation or planned maintenance. Duration scales by 1 ÷ (1 + pct) on a 24/7 100%-efficiency calendar — it never means a longer day.

Factory assumption: 24/7 operation at 100% efficiency. A +10% capacity change therefore means +10% effective throughput — it does not mean a 26.4-hour day.

Downtime mode

Take a resource or the whole line down for a fixed number of hours.

Material supply risk
User-entered Assumption
Requirements come from the order-expanded BOM (275,754 rows, PL 98 / OL 110 rows per unit) and are never multiplied by management quantity again.

Apply material scenario

Availability and demand percentages below take effect.

Ignore shortages

Mirrors the APS IgnoreShortages flag — shortages report as zero.

Supply(1).csv holds 399 rows across 311 unique parts, so some parts appear more than once. Duplicate rows are ambiguous: material scenarios default to the maximum quantity recorded for a part. Duplicates are never silently summed.
Last-minute large order
User-entered Assumption
This order does not exist in the APS dataset. It is a POC insertion used for indicative sequencing only.

Include urgent order

Adds the quantity below to the sequence.

Displace existing orders

Insert ahead of the sequence.

BOM explosion estimate: 49,000 material rows (98 per unit) and 66,500 routing operations (133 per unit).

500 ÷ 300 = 1.67 arithmetic production days, alongside the user-confirmed operational reference of approximately 1.5 production days for a 500-unit order. These are two different figures and are not treated as equal.
Manpower assumptions
User-entered Assumption
The APS CSVs contain no manpower data. Enter required and available headcount for each hierarchy node; manpower impacts are only calculated once both values are provided.
